WolfPack Volunteer Program FAQ
WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT LEVEL FOR A VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers aren’t required to meet a specific hourly requirement. We understand that school and other extra-curriculars may occupy your time; all that we ask is that you show up for the times and shifts that you signed up for. However, if you’d like to receive a Certificate of Completion and Letters of Recommendation, you must achieve a minimum of 100 points in one semester (Thunder Bay campus).

HOW DO I SIGN UP TO BE A VOLUNTEER?

WolfPack Registration Form

You can click the button above! (Fall 2025 registration is open from July to August 16, 2025; Winter 2026 registration will open in January).

Once you have submitted the form you’ll be contacted to register for a mandatory training session. After attending training, you’ll be added to the Wolfpack Volunteer Mailing List and notified about upcoming events and activities you can sign up for.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR EVENTS OR ACTIVITIES IN MY CONCENTRATION(S)?

Once you have been added to the Volunteer mailing list you’ll receive a google form with details of each event/activity. By completing the form, you confirm your attendance and select your available shifts.

WHAT ARE CO-CURRICULAR HOURS?

Co-curricular hours are tracked by the Student Success Centre. Once you reach 100 points in a semester, your hours will be approved. You’ll then receive a Certificate of Completion, and your volunteer experience will be added to your official transcript.

  • A CCR is an official document that highlights your involvement in not-for-credit experiences such as leadership, volunteering, governance, and community engagement. It complements your academic transcript by showcasing your skills, achievements, and contributions outside the classroom.
