Celebrating diversity at Lakehead

A believer in the power of diversity, the Multicultural Centre provides a welcoming and inclusive space where students can learn about and discuss issues such as cultural identity, racism, and international development. We are always passionate to learn about, celebrate, and spread knowledge of new customs and traditions. We host a huge array of multicultural days throughout the year to acknowledge all the wonderful, unique cultures that enrich our campus. There is always something new and exciting to learn and try at the Multicultural Centre!

LUSU Cultural Day

Our Centre organizes many events throughout the year to showcase the dances, foods, and holidays of different countries, and we are always open to learning about and showcasing new cultures too. With the intention of more greatly connecting our community together, we run interesting speaker series and workshops to help educate students on misconceptions of different cultures. Finally, we often work in partnership with World University Service of Canada at Lakehead (WUSC) to sponsor and support refugee students in pursuing a university education at Lakehead.

Join our community and learn about the different cultures that make up our campus, and help us learn more about yours too!
