WE OFFER EMERGENCY FOOD SUPPORT TO ALL LAKEHEAD STUDENTS
We are proud to provide food resources and support to Lakehead students who find themselves in need. We believe in reducing the economic barriers that many prevent some of our most vulnerable members from pursuing academic excellence while studying at Lakehead. As your student union we also advocate for healthy choices on campus as well as raise awareness on student food insecurity. We also offer additional food programs, campaigns and services throughout the year, providing you great way to volunteer, get involved and give back to the student community.
FOOD PANTRY CARDS
Complete the form on the right to access your food pantry card. Due to high demand, students may apply for a maximum of one card once per month.
FOOD BOX & FRESH MARKET
Starting in January 2022, LUSU is bringing the Good Food Box to Lakehead students! We know that food insecurity remains an issue on our campus, and this will be just one way that the student union is helping to address this.
THE GOOD FOOD BOX
provides a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including locally grown Ontario fruit and vegetables when they are in season.
When ordering a Food Box, you can choose to pay what you can (as low as $0) or pay full for a box ($16 Canadian), depending on what works for you! Payments can be made by cash in the LUSU Office (OA1027) - Monday through Friday, 8:30pm to 4:30pm.
Good Food Box pick up during the Winter 2022 term will be from 1pm – 3pm in the Learning Commons on January 18, February 15, and March 15.
