Meet Twesa Chihana
My name is Twesa Chihana and I’m a Political Science student who wants to know more about how a student organization is run.
I’ve been involved with AFCASA as a first-year representative where I was able to gather first-year students and enlighten them more about African and Caribbean culture. I am very used to community engagement and gathering students as well.
Empowering Students and Lifting Voices!
As a board member, it will be my priority to engage students and ensure their demands are met. Inclusivity is a vision that I want LUSU to foster to ensure that students feel that their needs are satisfied. In addition, I will amplify student voices bridging that gap and creating equitable opportunities for all Lakehead students.
Accountability and transparency remain my focal priorities. I will keep leadership accountable and advocate for transparent communication, frequent policy updates, and responsible decision-making. We can create a school where each student is heard, encouraged, and supported by working together.
