My name is Subas Bhugai, and I am a motivated and responsible student who wants to contribute positively to the LUSU community. I am running for the Board of Directors because I believe student voices should be heard and represented in decisions that affect our academic and campus life. I am passionate about teamwork, fairness, and helping improve student services and opportunities. This position will allow me to give back to the student community and work collaboratively to make LUSU more inclusive and effective for everyone.

I am an international student with experience adapting to a new academic and cultural environment, which has strengthened my communication skills, responsibility, and understanding of diverse student needs. Through my studies and collaboration with classmates from different backgrounds, I have learned to listen carefully, work as part of a team, and advocate respectfully for others. These experiences have prepared me to represent international and domestic students fairly and to contribute thoughtfully to the LUSU Board of Directors.

My vision is to help build a student community that is inclusive, supportive, and actively engaged. I want to ensure that all students—especially international students—feel heard, valued, and connected to campus life. If elected, my goals are to improve communication between students and LUSU, support initiatives that promote academic success and mental well-being, and encourage more opportunities for cultural exchange and student involvement. I aim to work collaboratively to make LUSU a stronger voice for every student.
