Meet Moha Kaviani

I am passionate about advocating for student well-being. My motivation for running for this position is to address challenges students face, particularly food security and housing, especially with upcoming tariffs. It will impact the cost of living, including groceries and rent, so it is more important than ever to take action. I am dedicated to helping to ease financial burdens and improve overall student life.

I was certified as an Active Member of the Scientific Association at Shariaty Technical and Vocational University. At the time, the association had been inactive for several years. I took the initiative to gather a team, organize an election, and successfully reactivate it, demonstrating my leadership, organizational skills, and ability to bring people together toward a common goal.

Financial stress should never stand in the way of student success. Yet, for many, the rising cost of living makes it harder to focus on education. That’s why I’m running—to ensure every student has the support they need, not just to get by, but to thrive. If elected, I will expand affordable meal programs and strengthen partnerships with local businesses for student discounts. I will also launch a Free Store, where students can pick up essential items like clothing, school supplies, and household goods at no cost while donating unused items to support both students and sustainability. For housing, I’ll push for fair rental agreements and provide resources on tenant rights and budgeting. With upcoming tariff increases, I’ll fight to protect students from rising costs and push for more financial aid. But beyond policies, I want to build a strong, supportive community where students help each other and every voice matters. Let’s make that future happen together.
