Meet Donkenny
My name is Chibueze Ikeh but fondly called Donkenny. I am a nursing student in a compressed program. After looking at the primary roles of the Vice president Advocacy position, I am motivated to run for this position because it aligns with my goals and aspirations. As a nursing student, I was taught advocacy as one of the strength-based care apparatuses in supporting those we interact with. Beyond that, it has always been my passion to support those around me with my knowledge and wealth of experience in leadership. My overall goal is to see LUSU have the best of experience not only within the community of Thunder Bay where it resides, but even beyond and far-reaching to compete with other reputable institutions around the world

Secondly, while at bow valley college in Calgary, Alberta, I was dully elected as one of the student councillors who support students and protect their interests in diverse areas. Thirdly, I am currently elected first year student representative in nursing constantly advocating for them. Finally, beyond the student body, I am currently the President of Donkenny International Leadership Academy, a non-profit organization based in Toronto where I support lots of people in training and advocacy ranging from mental health to promoting global peace
My main vision is to Empower students, amplifying voices, and driving meaningful change for a better student experience at Lakehead University.
