Hi, my name is Anjali Gupta, and I’m a third-year Honours Bachelor of Commerce student at Lakehead University, majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. I’m running for this position because I want to make a positive impact and represent others with fairness and responsibility. My experience as a Judicial Panel Member and Financial Lead for TEDxLakeheadU has strengthened my leadership, decision-making, and commitment to serving the community.

My experience as a Judicial Panel Member has strengthened my fairness, confidentiality, and decision-making skills. As Financial Lead for TEDxLakeheadU, I manage budgets and sponsorship planning, building strong organization and leadership abilities. I also gained teamwork and responsibility through my work as a Crew Leader at Little Caesars and volunteering with the Children’s Aid Society. These experiences have prepared me to take on this role with professionalism, leadership, and a strong commitment to supporting others.

My vision for the student body is to help create a campus environment where students feel supported, included, and heard, both academically and personally. If elected, my goals are to improve student communication and engagement, strengthen support for student concerns through fair representation, and encourage more opportunities for involvement through events, leadership roles, and campus initiatives. I also want to promote a stronger sense of community by supporting programs that help students feel connected and valued.
