LUSU Annual General Meeting

We’re excited to invite you to the Lakehead University Student Union’s (LUSU) Annual General Meeting (AGM) on November 26th at 4 PM! Join us in Thunder Bay at the Study Coffeehouse or in Orillia in room OA3041. If you can’t attend in person, we’ll also be streaming the AGM online for your convenience.

What’s an AGM?
The Annual General Meeting is a cornerstone of LUSU’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and democracy. It’s your opportunity to learn about LUSU’s operations and financial health directly from our current executive team, vote on major changes and fee increases, and hear from BDO Canada LLP, our third-party auditors.

This meeting is your chance to:

• Review the current finances and hear from our auditors, BDO Canada LLP

• Vote on fee increases, bylaw amendments, and more

• Approve the meeting minutes, audited financial statements, and next year’s auditors

• Ask questions directly to the executive team in a Q&A session

• Enjoy a FREE meal if you stay until the end!

Not familiar with AGMs? Don’t worry! We’ll be using Robert’s Rules of Order, which provide a structured way to make decisions, vote, and manage discussions. Here’s a cheat sheet to help you get started.
