Planning an event on campus?

LUSU is here to support you with a range of event equipment available for rental to make your gathering a success! Whether you’re a student club, an individual student, or a member of the Lakehead community, our inventory has something to fit your needs.

Who Can Rent

  • Ratified LUSU Clubs: All ratified clubs under LUSU are eligible for free equipment rentals. Some rentals may have a small fee to cover cleaning and supply costs.
  • Lakehead Students & Community Members: Any student or community member hosting an event on campus is also welcome to rent equipment. A rental fee applies for non-club rentals, which helps build and support the maintenance and upkeep of our inventory.

How It Works

  1. Browse & Book: View our equipment availability calendar and book available equipment through our online booking form.
  2. Pickup & Return: Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive pickup instructions. All equipment is collected from the LUSU office and must be returned on time to avoid late fees.
  3. Rental Fees: Club rentals are free or at a reduced price, depending on the equipment. Other students and community members pay a fee to help cover maintenance, cleaning, and supplies.

Important Notes

  • Availability: Our system shows real-time availability. Be sure to book early, as equipment is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Late Returns: Equipment returned more than 15 minutes after the designated time will incur a late fee.
  • Cleaning: Some rentals include a small cleaning fee. Please return equipment in good condition to avoid additional charges.
